Volleyball Recap: Sharpsville Takes a Loss

Sharpsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Erie First Christian Academy. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Erie First Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-17.

Sharpsville's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Erie First Christian Academy, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 8-3.

Coming up, Sharpsville will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hickory at 7:15 p.m. The last three games the Hornets have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Erie First Christian Academy, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Greenville on the 4th.
