Volleyball Recap: Blue Ridge Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Blue Ridge had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Hanover Area Hawkeyes by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Several Hawkeyes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chance Hall, who had 17 kills and 16 digs. Hall is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had six or more in each of the last four games he's played. Davyn Piatt-Ferreira was another key player, getting 19 digs, six kills, and five blocks.

Blue Ridge's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. As for Hanover Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue Ridge will take on Western Wayne at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hanover Area, they will face off against North Pocono at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
