Volleyball Recap: South Lake's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

South Lake entered their tilt with South Sumter on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Raiders 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: South Lake took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-9, 25-13.

Jade Bedingfield paced South Lake's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bedingfield got some help from Makiah Palacio and her 14 assists. Kassidy Layne controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

South Lake's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for South Sumter, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, South Lake will welcome Weeki Wachee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Sumter, they will head out to take on Zephyrhills Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
