Baseball Recap: Waterford's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Waterford can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They never let the Denair Coyotes get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Coyotes last Tuesday, they had to take a 8-0 loss.

The result came thanks to Bryan Martinez's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. He is becoming a predictor of Waterford's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 2-1 (and 4-11 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Waterford's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nathyn Morris, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Morris has posted since back in March.

Waterford's record now sits at 6-12. As for Denair, they dropped their record down to 7-6-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
