Volleyball Recap: Trinity Christian Falls to Oakridge in First Game of Season

Trinity Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Oakridge Owls on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

While Trinity Christian was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Oakridge's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-14, 25-17.

Oakridge's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Trinity Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Southwest Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on September 11. As for Oakridge, they will take on Grace Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Owls surely won't give up without a fight.
