Preview: Carbon Hill Bulldogs vs. Winston County Yellowjackets
The Carbon Hill Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Winston County Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Carbon Hill is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Tuesday, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Carbon Hill made off with a 33-32 victory over Winfield.
Meanwhile, Winston County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Addison on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 45-41 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Winston County.
Lynleigh Cobb continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 18 rebounds. Cobb is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Lizzy Bass was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Carbon Hill now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Winston County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-14 record this season.
Carbon Hill strolled past Winston County when the teams last played back in November of 2023 by a score of 54-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carbon Hill since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
