Baseball Game Preview: Key West Conchs vs. Lake Mary Rams

The Key West Conchs will be taking part in a tournament against the Lake Mary Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The last four games Key West has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Key West's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Lemon Bay 2-0. That's two games straight that the Conchs have won by exactly two runs.

Cruz Holmes tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sam Holland, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
