Basketball Recap: Cahokia Comes Up Short

Cahokia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Centralia Orphans, falling 75-55. If the Comanches were looking for revenge after losing 60-37 to the Orphans when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Cahokia lost, don't look at C'narri Griffin. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-10 from beyond the arc to rack up 39 points and six steals. With that strong performance, Griffin is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Corrion Raiford, who posted four points and five rebounds.

Cahokia's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Centralia, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
