Recap: Corner Canyon Chargers vs. Herriman Mustangs
On Tuesday, the Corner Canyon Chargers faced the Herriman Mustangs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Corner Canyon snuck past Herriman with a 51-46 win. The victory was familiar territory for Corner Canyon who now have four in a row.
Corner Canyon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Feroah out in front who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Noah Bendinger, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Herriman still got an impressive performance from Cale Barclay, who scored 15 points. Stockton Blanchard was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Corner Canyon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Herriman, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Corner Canyon will take on Copper Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Copper Hills knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Corner Canyon likes a good challenge. As for Herriman, they will head out on the road to take on Riverton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverton will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
