Football Game Preview: Brockton vs. New Bedford

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Brockton. On Friday they will take on New Bedford at 7:00 PM. Brockton will be hoping to build upon the 21-14 win they picked up against New Bedford the last time they played.

Brockton got themselves on the board against Durfee last Friday, but Durfee never followed suit. Brockton took their game against Durfee by a conclusive 28-0 score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Brockton had established a 20-0 advantage.

Meanwhile, New Bedford strolled past Dartmouth with points to spare, taking the match 30-12. The success made it back-to-back wins for New Bedford.

Their wins bumped New Bedford to 2-4 and Brockton to 3-2. In their win, Brockton relied heavily on junior Ajani Horne, who rushed for 80 yards and 1 touchdown. New Bedford will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
