Soccer Recap: Middle Creek Comes Up Short

Middle Creek's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Seaforth Hawks by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Middle Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Seaforth are ranked 99th).

Middle Creek has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Seaforth, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2-1.

Looking ahead, Middle Creek will head out to square off against Apex Friendship at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Seaforth, they will welcome Cummings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seaforth are facing Cummings at the right time seeing as Cummings are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
