Basketball Game Preview: Mount Si Wildcats vs. Juanita Ravens

The Mount Si Wildcats will head out to face off against the Juanita Ravens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mount Si will head into Wednesday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 25-point drubbing they dealt Liberty on Wednesday. Mount Si blew past Liberty 58-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wildcats have posted since December 28, 2024.

Meanwhile, Juanita strolled past Hazen with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 40-26. Given the Ravens' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Highlanders are ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mount Si is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Juanita, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-11.

Mount Si skirted past Juanita 42-40 in their previous meeting on January 8th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mount Si since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
