New Canaan skates past Killingly with ease

Recap: New Canaan Rams vs. Killingly Redmen

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the New Canaan Rams walked away with it. They blew past the Redmen 49-14 at home. Winning may never get old, but New Canaan sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Luke Robinson was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 150 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes. Alex Russey was another key contributor, picking up 62 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Despite the loss, Killingly still got an impressive performance from Soren Rief, who rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Rief has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last ten times he's played.

New Canaan pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Killingly, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.

New Canaan will take on Maloney at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. Maloney is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Killingly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
