Baseball Game Preview: Belle Vernon Leopards vs. Central Valley Warriors

The Belle Vernon Leopards will challenge the Central Valley Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Belle Vernon heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Tuesday. They lost 11-2 to Indiana. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Leopards, who until this game were averaging 3.64 runs allowed.

Belle Vernon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Plymire, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Central Valley came up short against Elizabeth Forward last Tuesday and fell 4-1.

Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Belle Vernon, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
