Football Game Preview: Windsor Wizards vs. Niwot Cougars

For the first time this season, Windsor will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Niwot Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Windsor is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Last Friday, Windsor earned a 26-14 victory over Roosevelt.

Adrian Czyszczon produced another solid performance rushing for 119 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Windsor was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 211 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 173 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Windsor didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Easton Krasuski and Grady Sullivan. Krasuski also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight. Sullivan got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Cougars on Friday. Niwot received a blow as they fell 34-17 to Evergreen. The contest marked Niwot's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Niwot now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Windsor, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything came up roses for Windsor against Niwot in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 56-0 victory. Will the Wizards repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
