Recap: Sanderson Spartans vs. Enloe Eagles
The Sanderson Spartans had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Enloe 56-17 at home. That looming 56-17 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Sanderson yet this season.
Leading Sanderson to victory were Amyah Lynn and Summer Haith. Lynn scored 13 points along with four steals, while Haith dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Stella Puckett, who scored 13 points.
Sanderson's win ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13. As for Enloe, their loss was their 20th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-14.
Sanderson will challenge Leesville Road at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Leesville Road focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday. As for Enloe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Broughton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Broughton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Enloe in North Carolina (Broughton is ranked 285th, while Enloe is ranked 575th).
