Softball Recap: Southern Durham Spartans vs. Carrboro Jaguars
Southern Durham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 26-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carrboro Jaguars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Southern Durham of the 18-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
Anaiah Bailey was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn-Michelle Hill, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
On Carrboro's side, they let Vivian Martin and Maya Bodenheimer loose on the outfield. Martin went 4-for-7 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI, while Bodenheimer went 5-for-6 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.
