Perquimans came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Martin County Gators with a sharp 13-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won 12 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Perquimans pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Martin County, they moved to 18-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Perquimans didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-2 victory against North East Carolina Prep on the 30th. As for Martin County, they have also already played their next match, a 20-13 win against Gates County on the 30th.
