Recap: Sturgeon Bulldogs vs. Van-Far Indians
The Sturgeon Bulldogs lost against the Van-Far Indians back in February of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Sturgeon suffered a tough 54-30 loss at the hands of Van-Far. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sturgeon has scored all season.
Leading Van-Far to victory were Carter Jennings and Nikos Connaway. Jennings dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Connaway scored 17 points along with six assists and five steals. Connaway is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed five or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Pacey Reading, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Sturgeon's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Van-Far, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 22-5.
Sturgeon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Van-Far, they will take on Harrisburg at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Harrisburg is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
