Basketball Recap: Campbellsville Falls Despite Big Games from Keaton Hord and Jalen Gribbins

Campbellsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 76-61 to the Bardstown Tigers. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in February of 2021.

Campbellsville's loss came despite strong showings from Jalen Gribbins and Keaton Hord. Gribbins went 6-for-9 to rack up 16 points, while Hord went 7-for-14 en route to 15 points. The dominant performance also gave Gribbins a new career-high in shooting accuracy (67%). Lee Colvin was another key player, putting up seven points.

Campbellsville's record is now 2-22. As for Bardstown, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.

Campbellsville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-41 loss against Somerset on the 17th. As for Bardstown, they have also already played their next game, an 85-62 win against Marion County on the 17th.
