Layton faced Corner Canyon in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Lancers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chargers, sneaking past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but Layton sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Layton's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Corner Canyon, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
