New Deal lost against Floydada back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The New Deal Lions were dealt an 82-46 loss at the hands of the Floydada Whirlwinds. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Braun Hobbs was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 29 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists for Floydada. The game was Hobbs' 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrean Henderson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards.

New Deal's loss dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Floydada, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-10.

When New Deal and Floydada next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. New Deal will try to stop New Home's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Floydada will face off against Abernathy and their four-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
