Softball Recap: Edison Spartans vs. Susquehanna Valley Sabers

Edison waltzed into their match on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Susquehanna Valley Sabers and snuck past 3-1. Despite the victory, that was the fewest runs Edison has scored all year.

Gabby Milazzo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Kailey Ripley was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Maggs, who went 2-for-2 with a stolen base and a double.
