Basketball Recap: Isaac Crane Key Part of Team Effort in Warriors Win

Covenant Christian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They took down the Indianapolis Lutheran Saints 73-56. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered an 87-54 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Covenant Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Crane, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Crane a new career-high in steals (five). Another player making a difference was Cason Soots, who posted 14 points and three steals.

Covenant Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Indianapolis Lutheran still got an impressive performance from TJ Clark, who went 13-for-20 en route to 32 points and three steals.

Covenant Christian's record now sits at 13-6. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Covenant Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-49 loss against Columbus North on the 17th. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-35 victory against Trinity Lutheran on the 14th.
