Basketball Recap: Highland Park Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Highland Park had won seven straight road games dating back to last season and Pearmella Carter did her part to make it eight on Friday. The Highland Park Scots took their match with ease, bagging a 61-10 win over the Harmon Hawks thanks in part to Carter, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Highland Park's points.

Another player making a difference was De'Asia Sanders, who posted eight points in addition to eight steals and six assists. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Highland Park's record now sits at 6-0. As for Harmon, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Highland Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-45 loss against Topeka on the 21st. Harmon has also already played their next game (against Northeast), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
