Baseball Recap: Southern Nash Find Success

Southern Nash hadn't done well against Franklinton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Firebirds came out on top against the Red Rams by a score of 4-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Grayden Murray spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Southern Nash's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jeremiah Battle, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Southern Nash now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Franklinton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
