Garden City won the last time they faced Great Bend and things went their way on Thursday too. The Buffaloes blew past the Panthers 7-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Garden City's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Great Bend are ranked 87th).

The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those two contests. As for Great Bend, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Garden City will square off against Blue Valley North on Saturday. As for Great Bend, they will face off against Dodge City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
