Football Game Preview: Normal University Pioneers vs. Glenwood Titans

Normal University hasn't had much luck against Glenwood recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pioneers are taking a road trip to square off against the Titans at 7:00 p.m.

Normal University is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Rochester on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Pioneers were outmatched by the Rockets and fell 56-7. The contest marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Glenwood put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game with ease, bagging a 49-0 win over MacArthur. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 48 points or more this season.

Normal University now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Glenwood, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Normal University took their win against Glenwood in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 33-13 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
