Basketball Recap: Weatherford Comes Up Short

Weatherford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-37 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blanchard Lions. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Weatherford's record is now 13-10. As for Blanchard, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Coming up, Weatherford will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Clinton at 6:30 p.m. As for Blanchard, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions take on the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
