Scottsdale Christian Academy waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Gilbert Christian Knights. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Knights back in August, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

While Scottsdale Christian Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Gilbert Christian scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 15-25, 25-20.

Lucy Dickerson was nothing short of spectacular: she had 19 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Dickerson wasn't the only good servers: Scottsdale Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Scottsdale Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 26-5. As for Gilbert Christian, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 22-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scottsdale Christian Academy will challenge Red Rock at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gilbert Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bourgade Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th.
