Volleyball Game Preview: Washington Hatchets vs. Vincennes Lincoln Alices

After both having extra time off, the Washington Hatchets and the Vincennes Lincoln Alices will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Washington is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Boonville just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 3-2.

Washington took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 22-25, 16-25, 25-17, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Vincennes Lincoln got the win against North Knox on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Alices in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Vincennes Lincoln not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept North Knox between 14 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Vincennes Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 14-12.

Washington came up short against Vincennes Lincoln in their previous meeting back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Hatchets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
