Volleyball Game Preview: St. Francis Sharks vs. Kirby Prep Griffins

After both having extra time off, the St. Francis Sharks and the Kirby Prep Griffins will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

St. Francis is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell just short of Pajaro Valley by a score of 3-2 last Wednesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Meanwhile, Kirby Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to Watsonville.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-14, 25-20.

St. Francis beat Kirby Prep 3-1 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Will St. Francis repeat their success, or does Kirby Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
