Basketball Recap: Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Knights vs. Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger Saints

Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up nine more assists than your opponent, a fact the Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Knights proved on Friday. They came out on top against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger by a score of 57-47. The win made it back-to-back wins for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers.

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers had a senior duo take command as Addie Shank scored 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals and Annika Davis scored 15 points along with two steals. Shank hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Miley Wareing, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.

Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gillian Reidy, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reidy has scored all season. Taylor Aselage was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
