Baseball Recap: El Camino Comes Up Short

El Camino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Archbishop Riordan Crusaders. If the Colts were looking for revenge after losing 16-3 to the Colts when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Adrian I?iguez and Carlos Alcala did some serious damage despite the final result: I?iguez scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Alcala scored two runs and stole two bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Olivares, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

El Camino's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Archbishop Riordan, their record is now 2-0-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Camino will challenge Burlingame at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Archbishop Riordan, they will face off against Menlo-Atherton at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
