Softball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

Monroe lost to Stanwood back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bearcats fell 6-1 to the Spartans.

Monroe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vivian Knuckey, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Monroe now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Stanwood, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Monroe is set to face off against their familiar foe Snohomish at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Stanwood will challenge rival Everett at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
