Volleyball Recap: Kimball Takes a Loss

Kimball lost against Hay Springs back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Longhorns fell 2-0 to the Hawks. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Kimball was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Kimball still got an impressive performance from Hannah Kilgore, who had 17 digs and two assists. Kilgore has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Kimball's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Hay Springs, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Kimball and Hay Springs will both be playing Leyton the next time they take the court. The Hawks will head out to face the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Longhorns will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
