Basketball Game Preview: Walton Braves vs. Bethlehem Wildcats

Walton is 5-0 against Bethlehem since November of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Walton Braves will face off against the Bethlehem Wildcats at 7:00 p.m.

On Saturday, Walton didn't have quite enough to beat Arnold and fell 42-40. The Braves have struggled against the Marlins recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bethlehem). They breezed by Poplar Springs to the tune of 60-15 on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Bethlehem's win came from a few key players Walton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Madison Williams, who posted 20 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kale Cauley, who had 14 points.

Walton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Bethlehem, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.

Walton didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Bethlehem when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 43-37 victory. Does Walton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bethlehem turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
