Basketball Recap: Jacob Radcliffe's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rocky River over Shaker Heights

Rocky River suffered their closest defeat since December 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Shaker Heights Red Raiders by a score of 74-71. The Pirates were up 38-21 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Rocky River's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Radcliffe, who went 10-for-18 to rack up 22 points and four steals. The game was Radcliffe's eighth in a row with at least 15 points. Rowan Kennedy was another key player, going 6-for-9 en route to 15 points.

Rocky River's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Shaker Heights, they pushed their record up to 7-14 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
