Basketball Recap: Lakewood Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Lakewood's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Jordan Panthers by a score of 80-68. For the Lancers, this counts as revenge for the 67-56 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Lakewood's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-5. As for Jordan, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-4.

Lakewood won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Villa Park at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Villa Park knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Lakewood likes a good challenge.
