Magnolia has gone 9-1 against Hope recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will head out to take on the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Magnolia will be strutting in after a victory while Hope will be coming in after a defeat.

Magnolia took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against De Queen as they made off with a 52-30 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Leopards: they've now won eight in a row.

Jamaijha Marshall had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 204 yards and four TDs on only 11 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 68 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Marshall was just one part of a punishing run game: Magnolia was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 202 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 202 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Kaleb Roach, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against Arkansas, falling 57-10.

Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Magnolia, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Magnolia against Hope when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 55-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
