Los Alamitos gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the San Clemente Tritons as the Los Alamitos Griffins made off with a 13-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Griffins also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2021.
SEAN KASSAWARA tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits.
At the plate, SUTTON DENINNO and CADE BARNETT did most of the damage at the plate: DENINNO went a perfect1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI, while BARNETT scored two runs while going 2-for-3. CRUZ D'ERRICO was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
Los Alamitos was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Clemente only posted a batting average of .259.
Coming up, Los Alamitos will be taking part in a tournament against Narbonne at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Clemente, they will face off against Rowland at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
