Football Recap: Silas Comes Up Short

Silas extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They were outmatched by the Mount Tahoma T-Birds and fell 45-6. The matchup marked the Rams' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for Mount Tahoma, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Considering they have won six contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount Tahoma to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keshawn Hines, who rushed for 66 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries. Another player making a difference was Mikkah Cordero, who rushed for 33 yards and one TD.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silas will host River Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mount Tahoma, they will welcome Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the T-Birds 9.9, the Lancers 6.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
