Basketball Recap: Augusta Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Augusta had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Holmes Bulldogs by a score of 72-65. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Augusta's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Holmes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-12.

Coincidentally, Augusta and Holmes will both be playing Nicholas County the next time they take the court. Holmes will host Nicholas County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Augusta will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
