Basketball Game Preview: Nandua Warriors vs. Delmarva Christian Royals

The Nandua Warriors just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Delmarva Christian Royals at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Nandua is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Nandua is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 55 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Crisfield on Friday. They took a blow against the Crabbers, falling 65-27.

Meanwhile, Delmarva Christian didn't have too much trouble with Lake Forest back in December of 2024 as they won 61-46. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Royals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Spartans are ranked 26th).

Delmarva Christian's win came from a few key players Nandua will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Darius Liles, who went 9 for 20 on his way to 23 points along with five assists and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Light, who went 5 of 10 en route to 15 points.

Delmarva Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Nandua now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Delmarva Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
