Basketball Recap: Step of Faith Christian Academy Starts Season with Victory at Home

Step of Faith Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They secured a 59-54 W over the Ridge Christian Academy Paladins.

Several Paladins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Benjamin Shamblin, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Dunmeyer, who scored 11 points.

Ridge Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Step of Faith Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Emmanuel Christian at 5:00 p.m. on December 8. As for Ridge Christian Academy, they will take on Northwood Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
