Softball Recap: Alliance Bulldogs vs. Scottsbluff Bearcats        
        
		
             If Alliance was feeling good  fresh off their  16-10 takedown of Lexington last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Alliance Bulldogs fell  7-2 to the Scottsbluff Bearcats on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the  16-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  last Saturday.
  Regan Cornish put in work while hitting and pitching. She  pitched seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and four unearned) runs off   six  hits. Cornish was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  doubles.
 Cornish wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Hannah Benzel, who  went 1-for-2 with  an  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Kaiya Hudson, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances.
 Alliance has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last seven games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record  this season. As for Scottsbluff, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.
 Alliance will take on North Platte at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. North Platte is coming into the  match with seven straight  defeats on the road,  meaning Alliance will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  victory. As for Scottsbluff, they will challenge McCook on Thursday.
