Recap: Raymore-Peculiar Panthers vs. Charles Page Sandites
The Raymore-Peculiar Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Charles Page.
It was another big night for Deke Thompson, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Charles Page. Thompson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Khalil Allen, who scored 12 points.
Raymore-Peculiar bumped their record down to 5-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Charles Page, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raymore-Peculiar will face off against Blue Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Charles Page won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Union at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. Union knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Charles Page likes a good challenge.
