Frontier Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 81-66 victory over the Estes Park Bobcats on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Estes Park had strong showings from Phineas Smith, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 18 rebounds, and Isaac Hill, who shot 53% from the field en route to 24 points and eight boards. Smith has been hot, having posted ten or more boards the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Oliver Acedo, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Estes Park's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Frontier Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-52 win against Jefferson Academy on the 3rd. As for Estes Park, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-32 loss against Liberty Common on the 10th.
