With a playoff win on the line, Bloomington Central Catholic rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans. The victory was nothing new for the Saints as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Kampbell Niepagen paced Bloomington Central Catholic's offense, picking up 11 kills. Niepagen got some help from Josie Certa and her 25 assists.

When it comes to explaining why Maroa-Forsyth lost, don't look at Sydney Pottala. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs. Pottala has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Bloomington Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 34-5. As for Maroa-Forsyth, they moved to 22-13 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.
