Volleyball Recap: Lincoln-Way East Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lincoln-Way East hadn't done well against Neuqua Valley recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Griffins walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wildcats. Winning may never get old, but the Griffins sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Kolby Ross paced Lincoln-Way East's offense, picking up 13 kills. Ross got some help from Maggie Simon and her 23 assists. Ross was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lincoln-Way East's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Neuqua Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.

Lincoln-Way East has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Minooka on the 20th. As for Neuqua Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Naperville Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
